The Mixtape

Nick, one of those immensely interesting and gentle creatures I was lucky enough to meet and who I’ll never forget. I still remember what he once wrote to me: “judging by the smile on your face, you are going to live forever”.

Everything about our friendship is in this sentence: Learning English from him (mine was pretty weak at the time!), the music we loved and his brother Bjorn and I were obsessed with, but also his great sense of humor: not the biggest Oasis fan, he also gave me a Nine Inch Nails tape to take to Italy with me. “Handmade” and still in my bedroom at my mum’s place!

Knowing that we’ll surely have an amazing time together seeing each other again after so many years makes me absolutely sure of how strong our connection has always been.
